Trivio

Privacy policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This policy describes the personal information Trivio collects on this site before the platform launches — only your email address if you subscribe to our updates, and some anonymized usage measurements if you opt in. It follows Quebec's Law 25.

1. Who we are

Trivio is a Quebec company (launching summer 2026) building a donation infrastructure. This is our pre-launch site at trivio.tech. For any question about your personal information, write to info@trivio.tech.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Newsletter sign-up (the "Stay informed" form)

If you submit your email through the form, we collect:

  • your email address;
  • the page language (fr or en);
  • the form's source on the page (e.g. site:cta);
  • the submission date.

We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal information at this stage. If you write to us directly (e.g. info@trivio.tech), we keep the contents of your message in order to reply.

2.2 Cookies and analytics

When you visit the site, a consent banner asks whether we may enable analytics (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel). Until you accept, no analytics cookies are placed. If you accept, these tools record technical and navigation data (pages visited, duration, device type, traffic source). You can withdraw consent at any time via the banner.

A few strictly necessary cookies (consent preference, language choice) are placed without prompting because the site couldn't work without them.

3. Why we collect it

  • To keep you informed about the launch — the only reason you give us your email.
  • To measure usage of the site in aggregate, to improve it (only if you consent).
  • To answer your messages when you write to us.

Under CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Law), you will only receive communications from us because you explicitly opted in via the form. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

4. Who we share it with

Your information is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes. It is processed by the technical providers we use to operate the site:

  • Resend (email delivery) — data: email address + message contents.
  • MongoDB (database) — hosting the subscriber list.
  • Vercel (site hosting) — technical access logs.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Meta (analytics) — only if you consent.

Some of these providers operate outside Quebec. We've selected established vendors offering an adequate level of protection for personal information, consistent with Law 25.

5. Retention

  • Email addresses from the form: kept while you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time; your address is then removed from the active list within a reasonable delay.
  • Analytics data: kept up to 14 months (GA4 default).
  • Technical logs: kept up to 30 days.

6. Your rights (Law 25)

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • know whether Trivio holds information about you, and what;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • request portability of your information to another service.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@trivio.tech — we'll reply within 30 days. If our response is unsatisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

7. Security

Your information is stored on secure servers, transfers are TLS-encrypted, and internal access is controlled by named account. If we became aware of a privacy incident posing a serious risk of harm, we would notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by Law 25.

8. Updates

This policy will evolve when the Trivio platform enters service and processes actual donations (additional information collected under AML/KYC, AMF framework, etc.). Any material change will be communicated by email if you are subscribed.
